What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had darkening on the folds and many areas of paper loss scattered down the right blank border, with a little bit in the top of the left blank border. It had a tear in the bottom border that slightly extended into the woman's foot. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
