Zanuck) starring Tyrone Power Jr., Alice Faye (in the title role as Rose Sargent), Al Jolson, William Frawley, Joyce Compton, Hobart Cavanaugh, Louis Prima, and Moroni Olsen. "Everybody" in Hollywood knew that this was actually a biography of Fanny Brice and gambler Nicky Arnstein, and Brice herself sued 20th Century Fox for defamation of character, and the case was settled out of court. Years later of course, two movies would be based on Brice's life, "Funny Girl" and "Funny Lady", with Barbra Streisand, and Omar Sharif in the lead roles. Important Added Info: Note that this poster is not backed, but someone put so many different paper tape repairs on the back of the poster that it is practically partially paperbacked! Generally, this poster has considerable staining throughout, with many tears near the top center of the image, and with many stains and some areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster.
