An Autographed 2" x 4 1/2" Index Card with 8" x 10" Publicity Still (Learn More) Basil Rathbone was a popular English stage and screen actor from the 1920s to the 1960s. He is best remembered for playing Sherlock Holmes in the popular series beginning in 1939. Some of his other movies include: The Adventures of Robin Hood, A Tale of Two Cities, The Court Jester (in which he played a comic version of the role he had played many years earlier in Robin Hood), Captain Blood, Son of Frankenstein (in the title role), The Mark of Zorro, The Dawn Patrol, Romeo & Juliet (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film) and If I Were King (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film) to name a few! He passed away in 1967 at the age of 75. Important Added Info: Note that this index card has been personally autographed (signed) by Basil Rathbone. Also included is an 8" x 10" publicity still that the index card could be matted and framed together with! Note that this item was consigned by a major horror collector who attended many collectible shows and obtained autographs at shows and through the mail, and we are 100% certain his items are authentic! Condition: very good to fine. There is a tiny tear in the left of the bottom border of the publicity still that was repaired with tape from the back.
