Somerset Maugham; about a couple about to be married on a remote South Seas isle, and they see a sinking ship and the man, who is a deep sea diver, rushes to the ship and saves the captain and some of the men, and then later he saves the captain from being killed by an octopus; but then things get really sticky when it turns out that the man is a fugitive and that the captain was sent to bring him back to justice!) starring Humphrey Bogart, Margaret Lindsay, Donald Woods, E.E. Clive, and Paul Graetz NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1936 posters and lobby cards from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only auctioned two different scene cards and some 8x10 stills from this movie until we received this lobby card! Note that there is a stamp on the back that reads "FROM THE COLLECTION OF Michael R. Hawks", who most would consider the premier lobby card collector and expert in the world (and he is still an active collector, looking for the last few items he needs!). Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good to fine. The card has darkened, typical of Warner Bros. lobby cards of this period. The card had a stamp or a collector's name on the back of the center of the card, and someone put white-out over that area. Otherwise, the card is in excellent condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
