Roma ore 11, the 1952 (released in the U.S. in 1953 as "Rome, 11 O'Clock" [11:00]) Giuseppe De Santis Italian Rome Italy romantic melodrama (about four extremely different young women who find themselves in very difficult situations) starring Lea Padovani ("as the cynical prostitute who tried, unsucessfully, to go straight."), Delia Scala ("who couldn't resist her 'treat 'em rough' boy friend."), Elena Varzi ("as the unmarried girl who tried to conceal her pregnancy."), Lucia Bose ("as the rich girl who became the mistress of a struggling artist."), Carla del Poggio ("as the desperate girl whose impulsiveness started a riot."), and Maria Grazia ("as the innocent flirt who fell for a handsome sailor.")
