Arthur Rank Organization"; "as Gay Keane in The Paradine Case"), Charles Laughton ("as Lord Justice Horfield in The Paradine Case"), Charles Coburn ("as Sir Simon Flaquer in The Paradine Case"), Ethel Barrymore (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film; "as Lady Horfield in The Paradine Case"), Louis Jourdan ("as Andre Latour in The Paradine Case"), and Alida Valli (in the title role as Mrs. Paradine; billed as "Valli"; "as Mrs. Paradine in The Paradine Case"). Note that Jourdan and Valli are billed as "and two new Selznick Stars". NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this script is the revised draft from March 17, 1942 and the screenplay was written by Arthur Wimperis, Salka Viertel, and Polly James. Note that the cover says "Please see inside of cover for changes and additions", but in fact, the inside cover is blank. However, there are a large number of interior yellow pages scattered in the script, and there are a great number of pencil corrections, cross-outs, and additions, and someone wrote in many dialog changes, and there are even pages where someone has stapled new dialog over the old dialog, and other pages where there are large portions of new dialog written in pencil (there are around 30 pages that have been inserted between the original pages 49 and 71, and ALL of those pages are handwritten!). It appears this script was changing on a daily basis, and that the actors were having great trouble keeping up with the many changes! Condition: very good to fine. The script has a huge number of pencil changes and corrections, and many added pages with handwritten changes . These were obviously done intentionally. Otherwise, the script is in pretty good condition with some minor wear around the edges where the pages are not exactly the same size. Learn More about condition grades
