It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: LA Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have only previously auctioned one example, and now that very same poster has been reconsigned to us for this auction, so it is still the only example we have ever auctioned! Note also that this is a "country of origin" poster for this German movie! There are very few German movie posters from before World War II in existence (because of the massive paper shortages in Germany during World War II), and most of those few are in museums. Note that the poster has an artist's initials on it (L.A.), but are not sure which artist those initials belong to. If anyone knows the name of this artist, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that this item (and others we are auctioning in this set of auctions) come to us from the estate of Lee Sanders. Mr. Sanders was a nationally recognized projectionist, film poster collector, and union activist who passed away earlier this year, and the net proceeds from the sale of his varied and eclectic collection will be donated to promote film studies at the Besant School of Happy Valley in Ojai, Ca. Condition: very good to fine. The poster has darkened slightly, more so along the foldlines. There is separation at the crossfolds, but otherwise, the poster has probably survived in about as good condition as one could hope for a 1929 original German poster!
