An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) High Yellow, the 1965 Larry Buchanan interracial black African American racism sexploitation movie melodrama ("Two Men - one white, one black!"; "A female half breed who is too white to be black... too black to be white!"; "She didn't cross the color line, she walked right down the middle"; "Rx: A prescription for something you'll never believe!"; a wacky story of an interracial teenager who goes to work for a Hollywood producer and tries to pass herself of as "white") starring Cynthia Hull, Warren Hammack, Bill McGhee (billed as "Bill McGee"), Kay Taylor, Bill Thurman, Annabelle Weenick (billed as "Anne MacAdams"), and Bob Brown. Note that this movie sounds really interesting (although obviously completely dated). Note that the phrase "high yellow" was used to describe light-skinned black people who could possibly "pass for white", or who appear to have "white blood". Fortunately, we will never hear this phrase used again! Also note that we have seen two entirely different one-sheet posters for this movie, and none have the look of having come from the major release. We wonder if this movie was not shown in small towns for a period of years. If anyone knows more about which poster is from the very first release, and if the others are re-releases, please e-mail us and we will post it here. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. Learn More about condition grades
