8 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Destination Unknown, the 1933 Tay Garnett romantic Pacific Ocean seafaring stranded-at-sea melodrama ("The mighty sea thriller!"; "Twelve men and a lone woman drifting on a derelict!"; "Story by Tom Buckingham"; a wild story of a ship that has a cargo of alcohol, and bootleggers seize the ship, but the engine dies and they are adrift at sea, and the crew members are trying to recapture the ship, and of course there happens to be a pretty woman on board, plus they are all running out of water!) starring Pat O'Brien, Ralph Bellamy, Betty Compson, Alan Hale Sr., Russell Hopton, and Noel Madison. Note that there is something very unusual about this movie which is that Pat O'Brien plays one of the bootleggers and an unpleasant person, which was VERY for him, because he almost only played very sympathetic parts, like priests!

Important Added Info: Note that this a very rare complete set of lobby cards for this movie (we have previously only auctioned one lobby card and two stills for this title and no other movie paper whatsoever!). Also note that that this set of cards which includes the printed envelope this set originally came with, is one of one of a remarkable group of FIFTEEN sets that were recently discovered! All are from 1934 and 1935, and each is in remarkable condition. This is a wonderful opportunity to get complete sets in the best possible condition, and this may not occur again for quite some time (there were only two other sets in this find, "The Phantom Empire", and "Devil Dogs of the Air", and we previously auctioned those two sets by the card). Once these sets are sold there will be no more cards from this find!

Condition: fine. The cards are in wonderful condition (see our images)!
