An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Jim Backus was an actor from the 1940s to the 1980s. He is best remembered as "Thurston Howell III" in the TV series "Gilligan's Island" and as the voice of "Mr. Magoo" in many cartoons. Some of his movies include: Father Was a Fullback, Rebel Without a Cause, The Opposite Sex, and The Horizontal Lieutenant. He passed away in 1989 at the age of 76. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Jim Backus! Also note that this still measures 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm]. Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed stills that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahoney Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him). Our consignor (and we) feel certain that the autograph on this still is authentic! Condition: very good to fine.
