It produced starch and food chemicals and was the oldest industrial company in Bad Salzuflen, North Rhine-Westphalia-area of Germany. Their mascot was a cat and it's starch products were marketed in English-speaking countries as Hoffmann's Rice-starch. Important Added Info: Note that this die-cut promo was created for use in U.S. stores selling the U.S. version of this German rice starch. The promo consists of two pieces of cardboard glued over each other, and it can be converted into a standee by bending back part of the bottom section, creating the illusion that the cat is balancing itself on its front and back feet.
