An Original Vintage Linenbacked World War II Poster (measures 20" x 28" [51 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Save Waste Fats for Explosives, the 1943 U.S. World War II (WWII) Home Front poster ("Take Them to Your Meat Dealer") encouraging the conservation of fats to help produce explosives for the war effort, and featuring Henry Koerner art of waste fat being poured out of a pan into a fire that is producing explosive bombs, rockets, shells and torpedoes! Artist: Henry Koerner Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the top crossfold and some tiny paper loss at the left ends of the horizontal folds. There was minor wear on the foldlines. Someone once wrote some words in the right of the bottom blank border, and they were partially erased. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking.
