An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Party Wire, the 1935 Erle C. Kenton romantic small town gossip melodrama ("From the novel by Bruce Manning and Vera Caspary"; "Damned by a whole town - because of their LOVE!"; the "party wire" referred to in the title is what we now call a "party line", and the movie concerns the members of a small town thinking that Jean Arthur is unmarried and pregnant, because of something one of them overheard on the party line, and then passed to everybody in town) starring Jean Arthur, Victor Jory, Helen Lowell, Robert Allen (he was "discovered" in this movie, and starred in six B-westerns for Columbia in 1936 and 1937, but then pretty much quit acting in movies and spent the rest of his career on the stage), and Charley Grapewin. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: fine. The glass slide itself is in nice condition and the cardboard holder has some minor smudges (as can be seen in our super-sized images). Learn More about condition grades
