She appeared in only a handful of motions pictures but garnered an Oscar nomination for her role in "Resurrection". Some of her other movies include: Prince of Players, and The Devil's Disciple. One of her many great stage roles was starring in Edmond Rostand's "L'Aiglon", about the life of Napoleon II (it became a tradition for women to play that role, a young man!). She passed away in 1991 at the age of 92. Important Added Info: Note that these stage play stills were created in 1961 when Ms. Gallienne was starring in Elizabeth the Queen. They made other stills showing her in two of her best roles (The Sea Gull from 1929 and The Master Builder from 1925), plus candid photos of her from 1961. Each has a stamp on the back with her name and the theater she was appearing at (The National Repertory Theatre in New York City). Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
