An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) The Cocoanuts, the 1929 Robert Florey & Joseph Santley Florida hotel crime musical screwball comedy ("A Paramount Talking & Singing Production"; with music by Irving Berlin; the Marx Bros run a hotel in Florida during the great land rush of the 1920s) starring The Marx Brothers (Groucho Marx, Zeppo Marx, Harpo Marx, and Chico Marx), Oscar Shaw, Mary Eaton, Cyril Ring, Kay Francis, and Margaret Dumont. Note that this was The Marx Bros. first movie, and Paramount did not feel certain they would be successful, so a large portion of the advertising did not show the Marx Brothers! Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).
