An Original Vintage English Movie Trade Ad (measures 11" x 17" [28 x 43 cm]; 2 pages) (Learn More) Run for the Sun, the 1956 Roy Boulting Central America Nazi-war-criminals jungle adventure thriller ("A tiger-of-a-man...more savage than any jungle killer.... more animal than human... more than a match for the world's deadliest no-way-out-tropic country!"; "A raging animal of a man... More savage than any jungle killer!"; "Clawing... Killing... Hacking his way across a thousand miles of steaming jungle!"; "Hunt and kill... And kill... And kill! This was the law in the world's deadliest no-way-out jungle... And this was the hunted man who slashed his way through it - beast by beast and man by man!"; "The longer they ran through the jungle... hunted like animals... the closer they came to living like animals!"; "A kill-mad hunter uses human game as prey in the most startling adventure ever lived by man!"; "The sun pounding like a white-hot hammer... the jungle clawing like a snarling beast... and now the blinding fury that made him kill, like an animal!"; "Based on Richard Connell's 'The Most Dangerous Game'"; one of many movies based on this classic story!) starring Richard Widmark, Trevor Howard, Jane Greer, Peter Van Eyck, Juan Garcia, and Jose Antonio Carbajal NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is 1 of 29 great two-page trade ads taken out of Kinematograph Weekly English trade magazines. Studios would run these elaborate 2-page ads in issues of this magazine, and they often had images not found on any of the regular movie posters (either English or U.S.). This 2-page trade ad was removed from a 1956 issue of this magazine, and it will look incredible displayed on the new owner's wall. The back of those two pages have text or ads for other movies from that time, and we have not pictured those back pages, because, of course, the primary interest to bidders is the great two-page color ad, which measures 11" x 17". Earlier in 2018, we auctioned 18 similar 2-page English trade ads, and all but a handful auctioned for $20 each or more, and two sold for over $100 each! Condition: very good. The trade ad was removed from a magazine, and there is slight paper loss and wear where the staples were, but it is otherwise in pretty nice condition (see our image).
