Note that this movie was first released in Belgium in 1947, and it proved so popular, that it continued to play there into 1948. So this poster is from the 1948 continuous first release of this movie in Belgium. Also note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 16 1/2" x 21" [42 x 53 cm]. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this is commonly done with Belgian posters, similar to how the blank top is trimmed off of U.S. window cards). The poster also had wear on the fold, and pinholes, creases, tears, and scuffs around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. After it was backed, it was roughly handled, and there are now creases in the top right blank corner. Learn More about condition grades
