Hogan Universal science fiction (sci-fi) monster horror thriller ("A new sensation in horror!"; "Original Story by Hans Kraly"; a wacky story of a scientist who discovers an "ancient Mayan nerve gas", and when his assistant is exposed to it, he becomes a mindless ghoul who needs to eat human hearts to stay alive) starring Turhan Bey, Evelyn Ankers, David Bruce (in the title role as The Mad Ghoul), George Zucco, Milburn Stone, Robert Armstrong, and Rose Hobart

Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this 1949 Realart re-release insert, and we have only auctioned one examples of the first release insert (two times, because it was re-consigned) and it was in "poor to fair" condition.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny creases and bits of surface paper loss on the folds, with tape staining in the top and bottom blank borders and in parts of the left and right blank borders, and some tiny pinholes around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
