Date Sold 11/2/2010Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 30 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [25 x 33 cm]) (Learn More) Canadian Mounties vs. Atomic Invaders, the 1953 Franklin Adreon science fiction (sci-fi) action adventure serial (a bizarre combination of a Canadian Mountie adventure movie mixed with Russian agents setting up secret missile bases in Canada so they can attack the U.S.; basically, this was a standard adventure serial, trying to capitalize on the Cold War fears so prevalent in the U.S. at this time; note that the ad campaign for this movie included artwork of a prominent mushroom cloud, then the universal symbol for the aftermath of an atomic bomb detonation!; "A Republic Serial in 12 Chapters"; "Written by Ronald Davidson") starring Bill Henry, Susan Morrow, Arthur Space, Dale Van Sickel, and Pierre Watkin Important Added Info: Note that these lobby cards are from a variety of different chapters of this serial (see our images to see exactly which 30 cards are included in this lot). Also note that three of these lobby cards have been trimmed and those three cards now measure 10" x 13" [25 x 33 cm]. Condition: very good to fine. 27 of the cards are in quite nice condition. Three of the cards have had their blank borders neatly trimmed off. Note that these lobby cards have no tape whatsoever on the front or back, and they have never had any restoration of any kind!
