Lee Wilder giant-insect-alien science fiction (sci-fi) thriller ("Earth Attacked!"; "Astounding drama as bulb-eyed men invade Earth from flying saucers! ... The Last Word In Science-Fiction Sensation!"; "The last word in science-fiction thrills!"; "See the space killers plan to wipe out the human race! See strange monsters, flying saucers, giant creatures... Sensational!"; "Attack by monsters from another planet!"; "Invasion from another planet!"; "Staggering scenes, astounding sensations... As bulb-eyed monsters in flying saucers attack earth! An astounding science-fiction thrill!"; "From a story by Myles Wilder") starring Peter Graves, Barbara Bestar, James Seay, Steve Pendleton, and Frank Gerstle NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that, for unknown reasons, the original one-sheet from this movie is a 2-color green and black poster. Yet the half-sheet offered here is a great full-color poster! We don't know why this was, but certainly the half-sheet is THE poster to own from this movie! Note that this poster has been personally autographed (signed) by THREE people: music composer Manuel Compinsky, makeup artist Harry Thomas, and there is a third signature. That one COULD be director W. Lee Wilder, but we can't find another signature by him to compare it to. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Our consignor is a longtime dealer who acquired this signed item among many other purchases in his inventory, and he does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we feel certain signatures are authentic. Also note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Note that because this poster was paperbacked onto a thicker paper backing, it CAN'T be sent rolled (someone could conceivably roll it or try to do so, but we think it would have a strong chance of lessening its condition, so we will only send it in a very large flat package, unless the buyer insists, and then they would be responsible for any damage). What IS paperbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. Prior to paperbacking, the poster had tiny creases along parts of the folds, with a pinhole in each corner and some faint smudges around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
