An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10 1/4" [21 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Catherine Dale Owen was an actress from 1927 to 1931. She had one of the more unusual Hollywood careers ever. She was a very beautiful and elegant blonde, who after a bit part in a 1927 movie, was given the lead opposite John Gilbert in His Glorious Night in 1929. This was Gilbert's first talking picture, and legend has it that audiences howled at hearing his speaking voice for the first time (but it could have been the sound equipment). Everyone agreed Miss Owen was strikingly beautiful, but said nothing about her acting. She also appeared in The Rogue Song opposite opera star Lawrence Tibbett, which was the first Technicolor musical, but again, she was not noted for anything other than her beauty, and she made a few more movies, and quickly retired, passing away at the age of 65 in 1965. Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 8 1/4" x 10 1/4" [21 x 26 cm]. Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
