An Original Vintage Folded World War II Poster (measures 28 1/2" x 37" [72 x 94 cm]) (Learn More)

Award for Careless Talk, the 1944 U.S. World War II (WWII) Home Front poster ("Don't discuss troop movements - ship sailings - war equipment") encouraging citizens to safeguard sensitive war information, and featuring Stevan Dohanos art of a Nazi hand wearing a swastika ring and holding an Iron Cross medal. Obviously, the point was that a person carelessly discussing war information was in essence a collaborator with Nazi Germany just as much as a Nazi soldier was, and that "loose lips" could result in Germans winning the highest awards, which is certainly "heavy handed", but it REALLY gets the point across!

Important Added Info: Note that this poster was glued to a backing board at one time, and portions of the backing board were removed, but the poster can't be re-folded, so it will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: fair to good. The poster was glued to some sort of cardboard backing board. Someone removed the backing from the bottom one third of the poster but they stopped at that point. It has scuffs and surface paper loss scattered down the right, mostly in the red background, but also in the "TAL" of "TALK". The poster can be displayed as it is, or certainly a professional could removed the rest of the backing board and restore it, but bear all of this inmind before bidding on this cool poster.
