Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Herald (measures 4" x 7"; 4 pages) (Learn More) The Old Dark House, the 1932 James Whale ("who gave you 'Frankenstein'") Universal horror thriller ("Beware the night!"; "From the novel by J.B. Priestly") starring Boris Karloff (billed as "Karloff"), Melvyn Douglas, Gloria Stuart, Charles Laughton, Lilian Bond, Ernest Thesiger, Eva Moore, Raymond Massey, Brember Wills, and Elspeth Dudgeon (billed as "John Dudgeon"). Note that Elspeth Dudgeon (in her screen debut) was disguised as a man in the film and even billed under a male pseudonym. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: This herald was folded in half at one time as was originally intended. Condition: very good. the herald has three horizontal folds. There are light creases and faint smudges along the folds; there are very tiny creases and tiny surface paper loss down the right border of the cover of the herald and along the bottom border of the cover; the back cover of the herald has smudges in the white area and the word "EMPIRE" has been stamped in the blank area (no doubt the name of the theater that showed this movie) Learn More about condition grades
