He was the world heavyweight boxing champion from 1937 to 1950, winning 26 championship fights during that time. He passed away in 1981 at the age of 66. AND Eddie 'Rochester' Anderson was a black African American actor from the 1930s to the 1970s. Some of his movies include: Gone with the Wind, It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, and You Can't Take It with You. He is best remembered for his long association with Jack Benny in his radio show, TV show, and movies, where he played himself. He passed away in 1977 at the age of 71. Important Added Info: Note that this great still, which has a stamped date of "11 JUN 1943" on the back, shows Joe Louis on leave from being a sergeant in the army, and going to Hollywood, where he visited the set of Cabin in the Sky and met Eddie 'Rochester' Anderson!
