Date Sold 3/9/2017Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card #8 (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Robot Monster, the 1953 Phil Tucker 3-D (3D; 3-Dimension) science fiction (sci-fi) horror thriller (perhaps the worst movie ever made; "Moon monsters launch attack against Earth!"; "Moon monsters launch Earth attack!"; "Adventures into the Future"; "How can science meet the menace of astral assassins? New science-fiction thrills!"; "Monsters attack Earth!"; "Adventures into the future in NEW Tru-3 dimension!") starring George Nader, Claudia Barrett, Selena Royle, John Mylong, Gregory Moffett, Pamela Paulson, George Barrows, and John Brown (in the title role as the voice of the robot). Note that "Plan Nine From Outer Space" has often been mentioned as the worst movie ever made, but many people feel this movie is a strong contender for that title! The making of the movie is as interesting as the movie itself (it was shot in four days, it "steals" special effects from other movies, etc). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that not only is this the best scene card from this classically bad movie, but it is also in nice condition (it has a tiny paper snipe over just the "3" of the "3D" at lower right, but that is certainly removable, and otherwise, the card is in nice condition)! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. Most cards from this movie are found with the two "3D" areas sniped over, and there are usually glue stains or paper loss in that area. In the case of this card, there is solely a tiny paper snipe over the "3" of "3D" at lower right, and otherwise, both areas never were touched (and that snipe is certainly removable). There is a crease in the top left corner (it appears much more noticeable in our image, because it is not laying flat in that image, but in reality, it is barely noticeable). There is a tiny tear in the border below that. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back (other than the tiny snipe described above)! Learn More about condition grades
