An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) They Came to Blow Up America, the 1943 Edward Ludwig anti-Nazi World War II (WWII) spy espionage melodrama ("Original Story by Michel Jacoby"; about a "spy school" in Germany, where they are training spies to come to the U.S. and both spy and sabotage, and an American of German descent is able to infiltrate the school) starring George Sanders, Ward Bond, Dennis Hoey, Sig Ruman, John Banner, Anna Sten, and Ralph Byrd NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. The poster had a 10" slightly diagonal tear running down the top center of the poster just to the right of the woman's face and ending in the top of the "E" of "THEY". There was small paper loss at the crossfolds and some creases, tears, and tiny areas of paper loss in the top foldline and in the top quarter of the vertical foldline, with a lesser amount of wear on the other folds. There were pinholes in the corners. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
