She became a major brunette sex symbol in the mid 1950s, and has stayed in the public limelight ever since, including having five husbands (although she is still married to her fifth husband, and has been for the past 17 years). Some of her movies include: Island in the Sun, Rally 'Round the Flag Boys!, and Seven Thieves. Her sister Jackie Collins was a writer of popular "trashy" novels based on the lives of the rich and famous! As of 2021, Joan is still alive at the age of 88! Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Joan Collins! Note that this still is a key book still, printed on a deluxe heavyweight paper stock. Many studios spent extra money to have their most special photos, the key book stills, either backed with linen or printed on a heavy paper, both of which enhanced their durability. They had an extra 1" at the left or top, with punch holes, because of how they were stored. Key book stills are far more rare than regular stills, which has increased their popularity among collectors, since only a few keybooks were manufactured per film, and a key book still is guaranteed to be authentic. Note that this item was consigned to us by a man who was a major movie memorabilia dealer from the 1980s on. During that time, he would regularly purchase collections of movie memorabilia from both dealers and collectors, and in some of those collections he purchased autographed items, and over the years he did not re-sell any of the autographed items. Now he has gathered up together all of his autographed items and consigned them to us. So all of the items from this consignor we are auctioning were purchased by this dealer from longtime dealers and collectors, and we feel it is quite likely that the autograph on this item is authentic!
