An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 17" [36 x 43 cm]) (Learn More) Northwest Passage ("Book 1 - Rogers' Rangers"), the 1940 King Vidor Revolutionary War era adventure thriller ("Keep away! I'll take care of him"; "Many thanks... for this errand of mercy!"; based on the classic novel by Kenneth Roberts; this was intended to be the first of a trilogy of movies based on the classic novel "Northwest Passage", and was advertised as "Book 1 - Rogers' Rangers", but the second and third movies were not made. This was partially due to author Kenneth Roberts not being happy with this first movie, and partially due to the difficulties of filming on location, and the movie did not do well enough at the box office to warrant making the sequels) starring Spencer Tracy (as Richard Rogers), Robert Young, Walter Brennan, Ruth Hussey, and Nat Pendleton NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that it looks like the left, right, and bottom borders might have been trimmed, but actually, they were printed with a "full bleed", something MGM was doing at the time, which means there were no white borders when the card was printed (although the top blank area has been neatly trimmed off and the card now measures 14" x 17" [36 x 43 cm]). Note that the window card was folded across the center at one time. Because there is tape on the back of that fold (see below), we don't want to re-fold the window card prior to mailing, because we believe that re-folding the window card would lessen its condition even more. If you specifically request it, we will re-fold this window card, but you will not be able to return it. Condition: good. The blank top was trimmed off. The card was folded across the original center and there are rough creases in that area, and someone put conservation tape on the back of that fold.
