An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Argentinean Movie Poster (measures approximately 29" x 43") (Learn More) Blanche Fury, the 1948 Marc Allegret English romantic crime mystery melodrama ("Young, Lovely, Passionately Beautiful! ...and her love was as wild and tempestuous as her name!"; "A motion picture in the great tradition of 'Wuthering Heights' and 'Rebecca'!"; "From the novel by Joseph Shearing") starring Stewart Granger, Valerie Hobson (in the title role as Blanche Fury), Walter Fitzgerald, Michael Gough, and Suzanne Gibbs (billed as "Susanne Gibbs") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Osvaldo Venturi Important Added Info: This Argentinean poster measures approximately 29" x 43" and is linenbacked. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). Note that we gave this condition grade to a very few posters that were in pretty good condition prior to linenbacking, but which were not all that well linenbacked, and which could be fairly easily re-backed with only minor additional restoration. The poster had three extra horizontal foldlines, each just above the regular horizontal fold. There was very minor wear on all of the borders. There was some writing on the back of the poster in the lower left of the image below Granger's tie that slightly bled through to the front and some creases, smudges, and tears in the borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was quite nicely backed (the slight bleed-through was extremely well touched up, and is not at all noticeable), and the poster looks great! Learn More about condition grades
