An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More)

King Solomon's Mines, the 1937 Robert Stevenson English Africa jungle adventure thriller ("Adapted from the famous Sir Rider Haggard novel"; "It's actually greater than 'Count of Monte Cristo'") starring Cedric Hardwicke, Anna Lee, Paul Robeson (legendary black African American actor, singer, and athlete, who became disenchanted with Hollywood and the U.S. over racism), Roland Young, and John Loder. Note that the great Paul Robeson does not appear on much of the advertising for this movie, no doubt due to the prejudices of the time, which is sad.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that original 1937 English language movie paper of any kind from this classic adventure movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned one example of this insert, and that was 5 years ago! Also note that this insert has an image of Paul Robeson and the one-sheet does not!

Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It had a 5" diagonal tear in the lower left corner extending into the green background. Someone put tape on the back of that area and performed slight restoration to the front. Other than the repaired tear the poster is in pretty nice condition.
