An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Still (Learn More) Robert Benchley was an actor, author, playwright, drama critic, and humorist from the 1920s to the 1990s. Some of his movies include: Foreign Correspondent, The Major and the Minor, and Road to Utopia. He made a few memorable movie appearances, and he wrote and starred in many short subject comedies with titles like "How to Sleep", "How to Vote", and "How to be a Detective"!. He passed away in 1945 at the age of 56. Important Added Info: Note that this portrait still is from the movie "Practically Yours".
