An Original Vintage 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Still (Learn More) Hal Roach was a legendary producer of mostly comedy shorts from 1915 to 1942 (he is credited as the producer on over 1,200 of them!). He was the guiding force behind the Our Gang shorts, the Laurel & Hardy films, and the early Harold Lloyd films, among many, many others. In the early days, his films were released through Pathe. Later, he began distributing through MGM, and he sold his assets to them in the late 1930s and early 1940s. He lived until 1992, past his 100th birthday! AND Martha Sleeper was an actress from the 1920s to the 1940s. Some of her movies include: Plain and Fancy Girls, Thundering Fleas, The Voice of the Storm, Midnight Mary, and The Bells of St. Mary's AND Viola Richard was an actress from the 1920s to the 1930s and who appeared primarily in Hal Roach comedies including: Tit for Tat, Leave 'Em Laughing, Should Married Men Go Home?, Do Detectives Think?, and Flying Elephants Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm].
