More than your heart has ever known!"; "Screenplay by Ernest Lehman"; "Music by Richard Rodgers, Book and Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, From their musical play, Based on 'Anna and the King of Siam' by Margaret Landon"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Deborah Kerr (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Yul Brynner (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; in the title role as King Mongkut of Siam), Rita Moreno, Martin Benson, and Rex Thompson NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that when this classic movie was re-released in 1961, it was released in a new process called "Grandeur 70". This was a result of "decompressing a CinemaScope 55 negative" and "allowed the viewer greater depth perception and color and clarity than here to foreknown". The executives at 20th Century-Fox called it "the entertainment of the future", and predicted "it could very well become the hallmark of the motion picture industry in a few years". It also stated that 20th Century-Fox's research department had been developing this process for 20 years. Yet we have never seen another movie with this, so unless it changed its name, then this is a "one hit wonder" that did not succeed (perhaps because of cost or something else).
