Artist: Saul Bass Important Added Info: Note that this is an international style poster (note the use of the international title "A Man is Ten Feet Tall"). Note that this film was released in January of 1957 but some U.S. items have a NSS of "56/466", while others have "57/27". Items with either NSS are from the first release of this movie. We have seen similar situations occur with other titles, especially when they were released right at the end or beginning of a year (as this film was). Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. What IS paperbacking? Prior to paperbacking, the poster had small paper loss at the crossfold and creases and tears down the center, and a lesser amount on the horizontal fold. It had some small tears around the edges, with tiny paper loss in the right of the top blank border. It had a few faint smudges in the center. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to paperbacking.
