Edward Sutherland Universal science fiction (sci-fi) fantasy screwball comedy ("Original Story by Kurt [Curt] Siodmak and Joe May"; Siodmak had written "The Invisible Man Returns" shortly before this, and he wrote most of the Universal horror movies of this period, and the following year, he wrote "The Wolf Man"; this sequel of sorts is played for laughs; Barrymore is a somewhat mad scientist who invents an invisibility potion, and he finds a beautiful model who volunteers as a guinea pig, because she needs to get even with her mean boss, and Oscar Homolka also volunteers, because he wants to steal the secret and make a fortune) starring Virginia Bruce (in the title role as Kitty Carroll/The Invisible Woman), John Barrymore, John Howard, Charlie Ruggles, Oscar Homolka, Maria Montez, Margaret Hamilton, and Shemp Howard NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was machine folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good. Someone put clear tape on the back of all three of the foldlines, but it appears to have been done for reinforcement, and not because there was separation, and there is no evidence that the tape has had any effect on the front. There are pinholes, small tears, and a few minor smudges around the edges of the poster. There is tiny surface paper loss on parts of each of the three foldlines, with a few small creases on the bottom foldline. There are a few faint scuffs in the solid blue background areas. IN THIS SPECIAL HALLOWEEN AUCTION, we have given a more detailed overall condition grade along with more details about the condition described in words. Of course, we could not describe every single defect, plus there are some defects (like separation on folds, tape on the back, extremely tiny pinholes, etc) which can be VERY difficult to see, even in our largest "super-sized" image. Therefore we strongly recommend that you BOTH read our written description of the item, AND ALSO look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the poster for minor defects that we did NOT describe.
