Stemmle"; about a beautiful jewel thief in Paris who steals a pearl necklace, and who hides them in the luggage of an American engineer going to Spain, and then she must retrieve them from him, and in doing so, she falls in love with him) starring Marlene Dietrich, Gary Cooper, John Halliday, William Frawley, Ernest Cossart, Akim Tamiroff, Alan Mowbray, and Zeffie Tilbury (who had the part of her life at the end of her career, as Grandma in "The Grapes of Wrath") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It had pinholes, creases, smudges, and tears around the edges, and some pinholes, smudges, and stains in the background areas, and just a small amount within the image and titles (there were creases in the center of Cooper's hair and some smudges in some of the lettering). Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was quite expertly backed, and the restorer painted over the entire white background areas (to "even them out"), but did very little restoration to the image. The card looks fantastic, and it does not have a "restored" look, and I think any collector would be quite happy to display this great card on their wall! Learn More about condition grades
