An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card #8 (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Gershwin's Girl Crazy, the 1943 Norman Taurog romantic cowboy western musical ("The big musical with Broadway flair and a western air!"; "an entire score by George Gershwin, Nancy Walker, and Frances Rafferty"; "Music by George Gershwin"; "Lyrics by Ira Gershwin"; "Based upon musical play 'Girl Crazy' by Guy Bolton and Jack McGowan") starring Mickey Rooney, Judy Garland, Nancy Walker (before she gained fame in the "Rhoda" TV series!), Gil Stratton, Robert E. Strickland, 'Rags' Ragland, June Allyson, Guy Kibbee, and Tommy Dorsey and his Orchestra. Note that this was an unusual combination of talents with Mickey Rooney, Judy Garland, and Tommy Dorsey performing songs by George and Ira Gershwin, but all with a "Western air" (but with the usual "Broadway flair"). Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this lobby card, and that example has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still the only example we have ever auctioned! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: fair to good. The left 4" and top 2" were folded back at one time. There are creases, dot stains, and tiny bits of surface paper loss scattered around the edges.
