A 1963 Re-Release Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Red Dust, the classic 1932 Victor Fleming pre-Code romantic love triangle melodrama (set on a rubber plantation in Indochina, with Gable forced to choose between "good" Mary Astor, and "bad" Jean Harlow, who was basically a prostitute) starring Clark Gable, Jean Harlow, Gene Raymond, Mary Astor, Donald Crisp, and Tully Marshall. This was a pre-Code movie, and the steamy scenes between the stars helped bring about the Code (and the censorship it brought). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that the poster says "An M-G-M Masterpiece Reprint" in the bottom center. This was a terminology used by MGM at this time for some re-releases, and it has caused some collectors to be confused! This poster is the original poster from the 1963 re-release of this movie, and is NOT a "reprint"! Condition: good to very good. The poster was folded in half an extra time resulting in a light vertical foldline at left and right. There is writing on back of a few areas at upper left that slightly bleeds through to the front.
