A 1947 Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Kraftbacked Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 40 3/4" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Edgar Rice Burroughs' Jungle Girl, the 1941 John English & William Witney jungle native tribe adventure serial ("A Republic Serial in 15 Chapters"; "Based on the famous novel 'Jungle Girl' by Edgar Rice Burroughs") starring Frances Gifford (in the title role as Nyoka Meredith, the Jungle Girl), Tom Neal, Gerald Mohr, Trevor Bardette, Eddie Acuff, Frank Lackteen, Tommy Cook, and Emil Van Horn (as the gorilla). Note that Ray 'Crash' Corrigan and Charles Gemora were two actors who played lots of gorillas in movies in the 1930s and 1940s. Emil Van Horn played around a dozen gorillas, and interestingly, that was all he did (no doubt he too owned a gorilla suit!).

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster measures 27" x 40 3/4" [69 x 104 cm]. Also note that this poster has been kraftbacked, which means it was backed onto a brown paper soon after it was printed (this process is called "kraft-backing", and posters with it are called "kraft-backed"). One could have it professionally removed from the kraft paper and linenbacked, and it would look great!

Condition: good. After the poster was mounted onto the paper, the borders of the paper were folded over the front of the borders of the poster and glued down. There is a distributor snipe and censor stamp at upper right. A restorer can remove the poster from the paper and properly linenback it, after which it will look great!
