A 1940 Re-Release (re-titled "Torpedo Raider" for this re-release) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Brown on Resolution (released in the U.S. as "Born For Glory"), the 1935 Walter Forde English high seas World War I (WWI) military thriller ("The Big Parade of the High Seas"; "Story by C.S. Forester") starring Barry Mackay, Betty Balfour, John Mills (in the title role as Albert Brown; very young in this role, in his third year of making movies!), Jimmy Hanley, and Howard Marion-Crawford If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that when this movie was re-released in 1940, the distributors made it "current" by re-titling the movie to "Torpedo Raider", and adding art of Adolph Hitler at the top shouting orders to sink on sight with no warning, which is especially ironic, since this was a World War I movie (one of the most blatant cases of false advertising we have ever seen)! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and separation, tiny tears, and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some foldlines, with pinholes in the corners. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
