A Careless Word... A Needless Loss, the 1943 U.S. World War II (WWII) Home Front poster encouraging citizens to be careful with sensitive information, and featuring Anton Otto Fischer artwork of a dead U.S. sailor washed up on a beach. This poster might seem "heavy handed" to today's world, but America during World War II was very conscious of not accidentally giving information to the enemy.

Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: very good. There is 2" of separation at the top of the left vertical foldline and smaller separation at the ends of a few foldlines. There are a few small areas of darkening in the blank borders, and some small areas of fine surface paper loss on parts of some foldlines. There are some scuffs in the solid black background areas.
