An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Christmas in Connecticut, the 1945 Peter Godfrey post-World War II mistaken identity food cooking newspaper journalism romantic holiday comedy ("From an Original Story by Aileen Hamilton"; about a female newspaper columnist who pretends to be a homemaker and who runs recipes provided by her friend, but then her publisher decides to have a returning war hero spend Christmas at her home, eating her delicious home cooked meals, when actually, she can't do any of that, and she puts on a massive deception to fool everybody!) starring Barbara Stanwyck, Dennis Morgan, Sydney Greenstreet, Reginald Gardiner, S.Z. Sakall, Robert Shayne, Frank Jenks, and Betty Alexander. Note that the IMDb says that this movie was released in England under the title of "Indiscretion", but we have seen a U.S. title card with that title. We wonder if Warner Bros. released it both ways (especially because it was a Christmas movie that oddly opened in August!). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this insert, but the last one was 16 years ago! Also note that this poster has never been machine folded! Some pre-1970 insert posters were machine folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 insert posters (note that most post-1970 inserts were NOT machine folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those inserts). Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It has three tears in the borders that have tape on the back and a few tiny tears and smudges in the rest of the borders.
