An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Other Company One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Texans, the 1938 James P. Hogan Texas cowboy western ("Romantic Epic of the Colorful Southwest!"; "Sons and daughters of glory... fighting, loving their way out of the blazing pages of history"; "Based on a Story by Emorson Hough"; produced by Lucien Hubbard) starring Joan Bennett, Randolph Scott, May Robson, Walter Brennan, Robert Cummings (Bob Cummings), Raymond Hatton, Robert Barrat, Harvey Stephens, Clayton Moore, and Francis Ford NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this was printed by the "other company". This was a company in the Midwest that from 1936 to 1940 printed its own one-sheets and lobby card sets for three major studio movies (Warner Brothers, Paramount and United Artists, but no other studios). The posters and lobby cards are from the original release of the movie, and almost always have completely different artwork from the regular studio release. They never have the name of the releasing studio on the poster or any of the lobby cards. Sometimes, "other company" posters or lobby cards have sold for more than the regular studio release posters or lobby cards! Condition: very good. The poster had an extra vertical foldline 1/2" to the right of the regular vertical foldline. There was some writing on the back of the poster that slightly bled through in the background area between Bennett's hair and Scott's shoulder. There were some tears at the top of the vertical foldline and some pinholes, creases, smudges, and tears around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well. Learn More about condition grades
