An Original Vintage 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] News Photo (Learn More)

Robert Mitchum was an actor from the 1940s to the 1990s. Some of his movies include: The Story Of G.I. Joe (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Out of the Past, Cape Fear, Holiday Affair, The Night of the Hunter, The Longest Day, and scores of others! He remained a leading man for decades, and his career survived his being arrested for smoking marijuana in 1948 (and it probably was even helped by it!). He passed away in 1997 at the age of 79.
Important Added Info: Note that this wonderful news photo (from the Associated Press, whose stamp is on the back) shows Robert Mitchum after he was released from the county jail after his infamous marijuana bust, but he was not fully released, and was instead sent to the jail honor farm, where he had to finish his 60 day sentence making cement blocks for seven hours a day! Note he is wearing a shirt and pants that have "L.A. CO. JAIL" stenciled on them.

Condition: good. There are many fine creases scattered throughout the news photo, but they are not that noticeable or distracting. There are also some small tears and creases around the edges, but this wonderful news photo can certainly still be displayed and enjoyed (see our image).
