An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

Vultures of the Sea, the 1928 Richard Thorpe silent sailing adventure crime murder thriller serial (about a young man whose father is accused of a murder that occurred on a ship, and he doesn't believe it, so he signs on as a seaman on its next voyage to discover what really happened and clear his father) starring Johnnie Walker, Shirley Mason, Tom Santschi, Frank Hagney, and Boris Karloff (as Grouchy). Note that this is one of Karloff's early roles, and movie paper from it is virtually nonexistent. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we received this still! Note that we are also currently auctioning another ultra rare Boris Karloff still, from his 1925 movie "Forbidden Cargo". Also note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock.

Condition: good to very good.
