A Hardcover Bound Volume of Original Vintage Comic Books (measures 8 1/2" x 10 1/4" [22 x 26 cm]) (Learn More)

Mickey Mouse Magazine is a Disney comics publication that preceded the popular 1940 anthology comic book Walt Disney's Comics and Stories. There were three versions of the title; two promotional giveaway magazines published from 1933 to 1935, and a newsstand magazine published from 1935 to 1940. The publication gradually evolved from a 16-page booklet of illustrated text stories and single-page comic panels into a 64-page comic book featuring reprints of the Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck comic strips. Starting with the June 1940 issue, the comic grew less wide by half an inch, but the height remained the same.
Important Added Info: Note that this bound volume contains the six issues of Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse Magazine that were published by K.K. Publications between March and September of 1940. It is one of seven bound volumes of comic books we are currently auctioning, all from the same consignor. He obtained these many decades ago when Dell Publishing (which must have bought out K.K. Publications) was doing some "house cleaning"!

Please note that we don't use a "comic guide" grading system, and OUR grading scale is completely different from standard comic book grading. Our "very good" is completely different from a comic book graded "very good".

Note: We have 15 images of this bound volume, but due to a space limitation, only TEN of the 15 images are displayed above. However, there is a "supersize" link to the right of those images that lets you see the other 5.

Condition: good. The bound volume surely originally contained comic books in excellent condition, but due to how they were stored, they are fragile and brown around the edges. The covers are not nearly as fragile, because they were printed on better paper. As noted in our description of this magazine/comic, the size of the comics changed beginning with the June 1940 issue, so this bound volume contains comics two sizes (they are all the same height, but the last few are a different width). Look closely at our images before bidding on this bound volume of very rare comic books.
