An Original Vintage Autographed Greeting Card (measures 14" x 16" [36 x 41 cm]) (Learn More) John Lithgow graduated Magna Cum Laude in history and literature from Harvard College, but he wanted to be an actor, and he had a successful career on Broadway in the 1970s, winning two Tony Awards. He had some very minor film and TV roles in the 1970s, but his big break came playing the transsexual football player Roberta in The World According To Garp (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film) in 1982. Lithgow is well-remembered for his role as the wacky alien in human form in TV's "3rd Rock from the Sun". Some of his other movies include: Raising Cain, Cliffhanger, Terms Of Endearment (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), and Shrek. As of 2021, he is still alive at the age of 75. Important Added Info: Note that this greeting card has been personally autographed (signed) by John Lithgow! Note that this greeting card (along with eleven books, which are being auctioned in eleven separate auctions) was consigned from the estate of Dom DeLuise. This greeting card was given to Mr. DeLuise by John Lithgow, and he wrote "Happy Holidays, Dom!" on it. It does not have a certificate of authenticity, but the autograph is 100% surely genuine. Also note that this greeting card is printed on a heavy paper stock that cannot be rolled, so it will need to be sent in a flat package. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
