a campaign book page advertising both Metropolis, the classic 1927 Fritz Lang German anti-fascism science fiction (sci-fi) robot fantasy thriller (based on the novel by Thea von Harbou; set designs by Edgar Ulmer; about an ultra-depressing world of the future where the rich people live in cities in the clouds, and the poor people toil away endlessly underground; a female populous leader arises and a mad scientist makes a android robot duplicate of her to ruin her work; a brilliant movie, light years ahead of its time, and moviemakers are still stealing from it!) starring Brigitte Helm (as the female leader of the workers and as the android), Gustav Frohlich, Alfred Abel, Rudolf Klein-Rogge, and Fritz Rasp. AND Mantrap, the 1926 Victor Fleming silent comedy starring Ernest Torrence, Clara Bow, Percy Marmont, Eugene Pallette, Tom Kennedy, Josephine Crowell, and William H. Orlamond.

Important Added Info: Note that from the 1920s on, studios would create elaborate studio yearbooks (also known as campaign books). They were made once each year, and they were often in full color, and often used the finest artists of the day to create many elaborate ads for their upcoming releases. The page offered here was removed from a studio yearbook, and can be framed and displayed (but almost all campaign book pages have different images on each side, so one must choose which side to display if it is framed!).

Condition: good to very good. There is paper loss in the top corners and there is tattering around the edges of the page.
