An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Devil Bat, the 1940 Jean Yarbrough science fiction (sci-fi) fantasy crime mystery horror thriller (based on a story by George Bricker; about a mad scientist who wants revenge on his former employers who he feels cheated him, and he trains his own breed of electrically enlarged bats to hate a specific perfume, and then he gets the female members of his former employers' families to wear it, after which they are brutally killed by the bats) starring Bela Lugosi, Suzanne Kaaren, Dave O'Brien (Dave 'Tex' O'Brien), Guy Usher, Yolande Donlan, and Donald Kerr. Note that "Poverty Row" studio PDC (Producers Distributing Corporation) went bankrupt at the end of the 1930s, and was reorganized as PRC (Producers Releasing Corporation), and this movie was their very first, and it was also their biggest hit! They made a "sequel" in name only called "Devil Bat's Daughter", but it did not match the success of this movie, and in fact, they had few other successes. The poster had extra folds just above or below all of the horizontal folds and small paper loss at the crossfolds. There were some creases, tears, and tiny bits of paper loss on the foldlines, and some pinholes and tiny paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
