Nowhere dared they rest..."; about an escaped killer who ends up traveling with a fugitive orphan boy, and at the climax of the movie, he gives his life to save the boy's life) starring Dirk Bogarde, Kay Walsh, Elizabeth Sellars, Jon Whiteley, and Geoffrey Keen.
